Ocean City School District is “committed to excellence” and our highly qualified, excellently prepared, well-trained, and intrinsically-motivated staff allows this commitment to occur. With three schools, numerous options in education, NJ’s Teacher of the Year, and NJ’s Superintendent of the Year our district is always working for your child.

The Ocean City Primary School (OCPS) is proud to be “Partners in Progress” with its staff, students and parents. Together we provide an excellent educational experience for our students residing in Ocean City, Sea Isle and our children in pre-kindergarten through third.

OCPS is rich in technology so that we may bring our 21st Century Learners to the forefront of education and to enhance their learning. Each child is equipped with an IPAD to use to improve literacy achievement. Also, each classroom is equipped with a SMARTboard to utilize and bring learning to life. Character Education plays a very important role in our school. Hallways are named for the principle character traits. These character traits are reinforced during our morning announcements, assemblies and classroom lessons. We embrace the concept of anti-bullying through spirit days and theme weeks that are held throughout the year.

The Ocean City Intermediate School (OCIS) is made up of students in grades four, five, six, seven, and eight, residing in Ocean City and Sea Isle City.

OCIS’s educational programs are academically challenging; engage each student by making connections to previous knowledge and life experiences; are relevant and involve rigorous curricula; and at the same time are exciting and captivating. The staff has worked hard to align their curriculum and instruction with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. Outside of the classroom, students are encouraged to act locally and globally, that is, to be contributing members of the school community, the local community, and the global community.

Ocean City High School (OCHS) is a comprehensive high school serving the communities of Ocean City, Upper Township, Sea Isle City, Corbin City, and School Choice with an enrollment of over 1,250 students. Students can choose from over 200 courses, including 18 Advanced Placement courses. OCHS’s program also offers a complete honors program in the four core subjects and world language. Unique to the study of world languages, Ocean City High School has a computer lab dedicated to speaking and listening and offers courses in American Sign Language.

Ocean City’s broad curriculum, athletic program including 24 varsity sports, and emphasis on the arts foster a family atmosphere and promote unity. The Ocean City High School community strives to ensure that a positive learning environment and robust educational program are afforded to each student every day.
